  • Studio Foce Lugano, TI, 6900 Switzerland (map)

Curated by Gabriella Greison

For the first time on stage, the story of Los Alamos, the Manhattan Project, Oppenheimer and Enrico Fermi's construction of the atomic bomb and subsequent consciousness analysis, in the words of the youngest physicist hired to work on the greatest scientific event in human history.

"THE WOMAN OF THE ATOMIC BOMB" is the new play starring and written by Gabriella Greison, based on her new novel of the same name, published with Mondadori. The main character is Leona Woods, the youngest scientist in the Manhattan Project, who tells in the first person about the greatest scientific event in human history. An untold story, which is being told for the first time on a stage and in literature, and whose existence even Americans have removed.

"The Woman of the Atomic Bomb" is an inner journey, a long stream of consciousness, lived in the first person therefore allowing us to identify with the protagonist of the story, and allowing us to relive the most electrifying and the most delirious moments of this monstrous Project. All the way to the present day, and the consequences of everything that was decided and conceived in those years.
