The activity consists of the presentation of the volume Stories of Childbirth, which collects materials from the writing contest of the same name, launched in 2022 by the Birth Well Ticino Association on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. The purpose of the initiative - open to mothers, fathers, families and caregivers - was to make the birth experience visible by bringing out points of view other than official or institutional ones through the slow and vertical movement of storytelling. 

Bringing together heterogeneous sensitivities, experiences and visions, collectively the birth stories collected in the eponymous volume compose a polyphonic texture that highlights the richness of meaning in birth, contributing to a broad and respectful understanding of this event.

Associazione Nascere Bene Ticino has been promoting the well-being of mother and child during the perinatal journey in Ticino since 2012 to encourage informed, evidence-based choices in parents. www.nascerebene.ch
