Ellis Trallen, an old war reporter, is invited to collect a prestigious lifetime achievement award. Aware that his work has been for naught he ends up making an outrageous and countercultural decision that shatters the clichés and certainties of the journalistic account of war conflicts. An utterly topical play, a poetic and wry monologue that, in absorbing tragedy and comedy, despair and irony, history and news, things lived and things imagined, paints a highly original picture of the present in which we live by investigating our relationship with war.
By and with Gianluca Grossi
Original live music by Danilo B oggini (accordion) and Francesco Boggini (percussion)
