Composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, keyboard and organ virtuoso, Cory Henry grew up in Brooklyn, New York, living his childhood among the pages of sheet music. At the age of two, he began playing the organ and in high school became a regular guest at the local hotspot for New York's rising stars, the Village Underground. From there, his musical career catapulted him onto touring stages with legends such as Roots, Kirk Franklin, and Kenny Garrett and earned him a Grammy with the jazz ensemble Snarky Puppy.

In 2014, Cory released his first solo project, First Steps, which reached the Top 5 on Billboard Jazz Albums while his 2016 gospel/jazz fusion album The Revival was critically acclaimed and featured on NPR's All Things Considered. Two years later, together with The Funk Apostles, he released Art of Love, critically acclaimed (New York Times, Billboard and NPR among others).

2020 and 2022 saw the release of Cory's last two albums, Something to Say e Operation Funk: both received Grammy nominations for Best Progressive R&B Album.
