Diodato, an intense and sought-after singer-songwriter among the most appreciated of the new Italian pop scene with four albums under his belt, participated in 2024 in the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival, bringing his elegant and unique stylistic signature to the Ariston stage.
Ti muovi, written, composed and arranged by Diodato himself, who also signs its artistic production with Tommaso Colliva - an internationally renowned record producer by the singer-songwriter's side since the album Che vita meravigliosa - is an intense and energetic ballad, a precious journey into the soul of a human being who is faced with unexpected emotions. And emotion, starting from the etymology of the word itself, is something that creates movement, shakes balances and calls into question the truths we had painstakingly constructed. It is the resurfacing of sensations and visions that seemed to be far away, but which resurface powerfully perhaps even by will.
Diodato returns to the Ariston stage for the fourth time ten years after his first participation in 2014 with the song Babilonia and for the first time after triumphing in 2020 with Fai Rumore, a song that he officially brought to the Eurovision stage in Turin in 2022 with an alternative, unreleased version and a performance that to date is recognized as one of the most beautiful and exciting seen at Eurovision.
In January 2024 Diodato won the Ciak d'Oro for the "Best Original Song" category with the song La mia terra (My Land), part of the soundtrack of the film Palazzina Laf, directed by Michele Riondino with whom he shares the artistic direction of Uno Maggio Taranto Libero e Pensante.
