With nothing but his bare hands and wooden eyes, Lejo has created a unique and fresh style of puppet theater. "Hands up" is a lively, wordless family show filled with music, humor and tenderness. In a big, blue setting, the puppets live out their adventures and perform their tricks. A lively dog, two tap dancers, a cow with feeding problems, a whole chorus of children-including the director-and many others take the stage. The audience (young and old!) soon forget that they are only watching two hands.
Under the stage name 'Lejo,' Leo Petersen has been performing live and filming his puppets since 1995. What began as a school project has become a show with which he now travels all over the world.
