Manu Hartmann is already a force to be reckoned with in the Swiss music scene. In 2018, the charismatic singer and her band won the Swiss Blues Challenge. Six months later, they became the first major Swiss band to reach the semifinals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA. In the Azores, they participate in the EBC finals. In 2020, their first studio album "Bad Girl" is released, and Manu Hartmann is nominated for the Swiss Blues Award 2020 for the first time.
On October 27, 2023, they release their latest studio album "There's Something Wrong," produced by Marco Jencarelli (Philipp Fankhauser; Lilly Martin, among others).
The dogged musician is known for her progressive blues. He is not afraid to get in touch with other styles. Soul, funk and pop elements are an important part of Manu Hartmann's self-proclaimed "Modern Blues 3.0." This can be heard clearly in the current album "There's Something Wrong." The eleven songs, nine of which are of his own composition, testify to a versatile artist who does not submit to the "blues police."
