Curated by TPL in collaboration with AUL and CSIA
As part of the "Urban Art - Special Edition" project promoted by Lugano Public Transportation (TPL), in collaboration with the Scholastic Center for Art Industries (CSIA) and Arte Urbana Lugano (AUL), a unique mural work was created, signed by a group of female students from the CSIA's Scenic Painters course.
A compelling project shaped by the desire to raise awareness not only among young people, but the entire community, about the importance of using public transportation from a sustainable development perspective, embracing environmental, social and personal aspects. The student(s) of the CSIA Scenario Painter section were asked to conceive and create a mural capable of interpreting and returning this valuable message, making art a vehicle for awareness and change.
Design: Arosio Anja, Donato Alisea, Galbusera Alice, Guidolin Emma, Sartori Eleonora, Baumann Sarah.
Realization: Bego Loris, Airoldi Nannaphin, Sattar Nadia, Casé Lia, Arosio Anja, Sartori Eleonora, Galbusera Alice.
The work was developed under the supervision of Ticino artist Marco Scorti and the guidance of Mauro Zanolari, CSIA lecturer in charge.
On Thursday, July 11, at 5:30 p.m., the public is invited to the presentation event at the Ex Scuole building on Via Pazzalino 1 in Viganello. The unveiling will be an opportunity to tell about the project (a real first for the parties involved!), present the mural and the message it holds.
