Blues to Bop has been the festival celebrating the blues in Lugano since 1989. Originating from an earlier jazz event, New Orleans in Lugano, it offers a wide selection of concerts each summer featuring local and international artists in the city's squares. These spaces become not only performance venues, but also opportunities for discovery through in-depth sessions with the artists.

An itinerary in African-American music ranging from archaic blues to the dawn of modern jazz, expressing ramifications, styles and new interpretations.

Blues to Bop School
Some of the artists will headline three meetings and lectures on music and blues history.
The one-hour meetings-free admission-take place at the Darsena at Parco Ciani , and are translated into Italian.
