Midi-Time Talks: an alternative lunch break.
As part of the Longlake Festival, this year sees the birth of Midi Time: a series of intimate gatherings that invite the public to spend a different lunch break than usual to devote time to themselves, to dialogue with each other and to deepen their understanding. It is an eye-opening journey of discovery of stories, local realities, creativity and introspection: an invitation to take time for the important things.
The 11 meetings take place from July 12 to 26, Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 1 p.m., at the Punta Foce location. On July 12, thanks to the Leggere e Scrivere Association, it will be possible to discover Easy Language; the bookstore the Literary Refuge will present selected books on July 15 and 22; Federica Dubbini will introduce to the practice of meditation on July 16 and to creative introspection on July 23; on July 17, the Association Nascere Bene Ticino will tell us about Stories of Childbirth, on July 18, Gabriela Hess will introduce the audience to Calligraphy Soleil, on July 19 and 24 Valentina Grignoli will present two selected books, and on July 25 Teatro Danzabile will present its activities focused on inclusive and accessible cultural participation and enjoyment. The cycle closes on July 26 with the event Poethreesome, in which two Swiss poets and a poet translate each other by performing a cross-reading of poems in the original language and in the languages of translation, in a continuous transition between writing and rewriting in Italian, French and German.

At 6 p.m. at the Boschetto - Parco Ciani location, on July 19, 21, 22 and 23 there will also be four important moments in which the word will be the protagonist. While some other big names will be unveiled over the next few weeks, we can already anticipate that on July 19, there will be Fiabafobia, a comic monologue by Arianna Porcelli Safonov, and on July 22, the book Aurelio Ponzoni: Cochi's Version, Curated by Paolo Crespi, will be presented.
