LongLake La Quairmesse Festival

The festival of Swiss music on the shores of the lake. In what spirit is La Quairmesse returning this year?
We are delighted to return with the festival after a two-year pandemic, especially with such a rich and interesting lineup! Curious to see what shape La Quairmesse will take in the Ciani Park setting with its three stages and at Studio Foce for the two After Parties.

Over two days, 18 groups from all over Switzerland, selected over the past few months, will perform. How was the selection process?
The selection process was very long. We decided to consider all the entries we received for the two cancelled editions (2020-2021). We are talking about several hundred entries so the time spent on listening and programming is really a lot. There are artists of all ages and from different cantons of the confederation. I must say that we are really pleased with the program and look forward to meeting and listening to all these Swiss artists.

There are two international guest groups, Royal Republic from Sweden and Mellow Mood from Italy. How do they fit into La Quairmesse?
As in the first edition in 2019 we will have guests from outside in addition to the 18 Swiss artists. Our intention is to bring as guests musicians that we have been following since the early years of our career and have seen grow and achieve international success. The aim is to bring in talent from other countries and create a link between them and the groups in the Swiss scene. It is a tradition we inherited from good old Palco Ai Giovani and want to continue to honor. Royal Republic and Mellow Mood are two bands that have done hundreds of live shows, they will be very interesting shows!

What genres will we listen to?
Since we like to range a lot there will really be a little bit of everything. From Rock to Electronic Music. From Pop to Reggae. We care about the artists and what they have to say. We think it is important for those who attend as spectators to have the opportunity to discover different genres of music live, where musicians can express themselves with a show and not just through a "link."

Two after parties at Studio Foce will keep us dancing until the crack of dawn. What will the sounds be?
For the first time, La Quairmesse artists will find space at night, which is the most suitable time for certain genres of music. For the night of July 30, we planned to do an evening of electronic music with ethnic influences while on the 31st we will move to Drum'N'Bass. The Foce Studio is the perfect place for After Parties, it is completely transformed at night and is just a step away from Ciani Park.
